Have you been considering getting a tattoo removed and looking for the right clinic to get the job done right? If so, you certainly aren’t alone. There are many people out there who are looking for the right clinic for tattoo removal. If you are like most people, you have probably already checked online for clinics and even looked in the Yellow Pages or asked someone you know about a Tattoo Removal that they have had done. No matter what you have done, you need to make sure you are working with the right clinic. Here is what you should do:
Make Sure They are Using the Right Laser
When you are on the website of a clinic that removes tattoos, they should have a section about the laser they use. The typical tattoo laser for removal is known as a Q-Switched laser and this is what you should look for. If a clinic does not list their laser type, or they list something else, you definitely will want to use caution. With this type of laser, though you may need to make a few trips to the clinic, you should be seeing noticeable results in one visit.
They Should Offer a Free Consultation
Another thing you should look for when it comes to a clinic that offers the removal of tattoos is a clinic that offers a free consultation. Some clinics may not feel this is really necessary because they will have an FAQ or other information on their site that may be gone over during the consultation. Unfortunately, that is not enough and you shouldn’t have to settle for that. This is a medical procedure and you are going to have questions and need answers that a website cannot provide on its own.
You Should Only Work with Trained Staff
Finally, you should never go to a clinic for laser removal of a tattoo without knowing for sure that the clinic has a highly trained and certified staff. Anyone doing removals should be a certified laser specialist and a laser safety officer at minimum. You should be able to see proof of this before getting a tattoo removed at any clinic.
These are only a few things that you should keep in mind before getting a tattoo removed, but they are very important. Do not get a tattoo removed unless you can check off the above.
