Optimize your warehouse workflow by using storage racks. Make the most of your space by designing your warehouse with an eye for efficiency, durability, and order fulfillment accuracy. If you encounter any of the following issues, it may be time to upgrade your system.

Signs of Damage

If you’ve been doing routine inspections to your racking and are seeing signs of significant damage or deterioration you may wish to consider shopping for new industrial storage racks. Don’t wait too long before you install those new racking solutions. The last thing you want is for your existing rack system to fail due to damage and cause an accident.

Too Many Repairs

Infrequent repairs to your warehouse racks isn’t necessarily a problem. If you notice an uptick in repairs, however, that could indicate that the joints and parts of the racks have been worn down by heavy use through the years. The costs and downtime associated with frequently repairing a racking system may merit considering investing in new industrial storage racks instead.

Expansion Woes

If you want to expand your warehouse operations but your current racks won’t let you, upgrading to a better system one that can make room for scalable solutions – and future racking systems is an excellent move. Choosing a racking system with the flexibility to expand and reconfigure as you grow or as your product mixes change is critical.

Moving Elsewhere

Are you relocating? Moving to a new facility is the perfect time to upgrade your racks. Racking is designed for its original installation location and should not necessarily be moved to a new location without first consulting the system supplier. This is due to seismic factors, permitting and other considerations. If you are moving, the easier and safer option is often to consider an entirely new rack solution for your new location.
