The Defender is not a new vehicle to the Land Rover line, but today’s Land Rover Defender is a modern and fully upgraded version of the original. This is an exceptional vehicle on the inside and out, combining the rugged and solid Land Rover exterior and off-roading capabilities with a quiet, comfortable, and luxuriously appointed interior.

The original Land Rover Defender in Philadelphia first arrived on the scene at the Amsterdam Motor Show in 1948. At that time, the vehicle was very utilitarian, and it would eventually become known as the Series l vehicles. Boxy but still very sturdy and balanced, the general style went through several changes to become the vehicle it is today.

Trim and Options

Buyers can choose from the base through to the top V8 Carpathian model of the Defender. In between, there are eight different options, all with their own features and options or available components.

All of the Land Rover Defender models are capable of off-roading, even if they are never taken out of Philadelphia or off the highway. They offer peppy performance, easy handling, and a smooth ride, even on rough roads. Adding different packages allows new vehicle buyers to customize their vehicle for style and performance.

Interior Features

As expected, the interior of the Defender offers luxury features but a very streamlined and minimal appearance. This is true for all aspects of the vehicle, with storage space, cubbies, and a very practical console.

The Defender also provides drivers in Philadelphia with some of the latest in technology features. These include an 11.4-inch touchscreen, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, in-dash navigation, and a WiFi hotspot as standard features.
