CBD products have grown exponentially in popularity over the past few years. Many consumers will tell you they have switched to CBD products to help them get better sleep at night, alleviate their anxiety, and reduce pain and/or inflammation. While CBD products such as roll-on CBD and tinctures are not approved by the FDA, plenty of CBD consumers strongly feel they are better products than conventional treatment methods because they are derived from a natural plant rather than produced in a lab as so many pharmaceuticals are.
Edible CBD Products
Common edible CBD products include cookies, gummies, honey sticks, capsules, tablets, and tinctures. Cannabidiol is extracted from the plant and infused into these products. Edibles vary in concentrations. Some edibles are much more potent than others. You should carefully read the label and/or packaging before consuming an edible. For example, there may be three packages of watermelon gummies available that all have different CBD concentrations. Generally, products that offer higher concentrations are more expensive than lower-concentrated products.
External CBD Products
CBD products can also be topically applied. Lotions and roll-on CBD products are often preferred by consumers with area-specific pain such as joint pain. You can apply the lotion or roll the concentrate directly onto your skin. Lotions are a creamier CBD topical, while roll-ons are often oil-based. You may find you like one over the other or combine multiple CBD topical solutions. Topical CBD products are discreet and have a long shelf life.
