The 2022 Land Rover Defender in Philadelphia is currently available in three trims. These are the Defender 90, the Defender 110, and the Defender 130. While each trim is worth consideration, one of the more famous and recognizable ones is the Defender 110 – the original.
The Famous Land Rover Defender 110
In 1983, when production began, the Defender 110 was given this number/name to indicate the length of its wheelbase – 110 inches. Much has changed over the years, but the 110 continues to make a solid impression. It is a regular “guest” on television series including “Death in Paradise,” “Midsomer Murders” and “Criminal Minds,” as well as in movies. Where action combines with rough roads, this Land Rover is soon to make an appearance.
The Appeal of the 2022 Land Rover Defender 110
The 4-door Defender comes with either 5 or 6 seats. A third row can be easily added. This makes it ideal both for outings to the Museum of the American Revolution in Philadelphia or for off-road treks in the Appalachian Mountains.
The new six-cylinder engine can be upgraded to a V8 to increase the power of an already peppy engine to tackle those hills. The 11.5 inches of ground clearance make it simpler to navigate off-road trails and to navigate through several inches – 35 to be exact – of water. The four-wheel drive and locking differentials also contribute to the maneuvering ability of the Defender 110. Add the Pivi Pro infotainment system, and you are ready to tackle any type of terrain.
