Characteristics of a Successful Industrial Millwright Mechanic
The most successful industrial millwright mechanics are those trained at trade schools who follow this stage of their career with an apprenticeship. Certification is also beneficial. In addition, knowing one or more programming languages is helpful since many pieces of machinery in a factory are now automated.
An industrial millwright mechanic must also have the ability to work independently as well as with a team within the factory. They need to be problem solvers- quickly able to diagnose the issue. They need to quickly access whether the solution is to refurbish the machine, repair or replace a component, or suggest purchasing new equipment.
